Welcome to my my creative space
Downstairs Sewing and Craft  Room
My fabric rack that my hubby made for me
The antique mirror is a lovely gift from a friend
I found this wonderful kitchen island to use
I made this bear for my niece to showcase a dress she wore
when she was a wee one.

In solitude, we give attention to our lives,
to our memories, to the details around us.
We find our authentic self when all is quiet

This is where I enjoy my morning tea while I journal and write poetry

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

In Celebration of Fairies

Fairy Day

Fairy Day is a day for fairies, magic, and wishes to come true. For one day, put aside the cynicism of the modern world and embrace the possibilities of the unknown, and believe in fairies…
Read a classic fairy tale, build a fairy house, or take a stroll through the woods. You never know when you might stumble across something magical!

International Fairy Day
It’s International Fairy Day! Today is a day for fairy believers young and old to celebrate the stories, magic, and history of the Fair Folk. For centuries, fairies have been an important part of Celtic culture. In all of the ancient legends, these mythological creatures are described as intelligent, mischievous, and magical. They have t ability to fly and cast spells, and they live in “Tír na nÓg,” the land of eternal youth. Mortals don’t often see fairies because of the division between the two worlds, but sightings can occur at twilight or during Beltane, Mid-Summer’s Eve, or All Hallow’s Eve.

In his 1904 play Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie wrote that when the first baby laughed, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces, and that was the beginning of fairies. International Fairy Day is the perfect opportunity to relive your childhood fantasies and celebrate the joy and magic of the fairy world.

Happy Mothers Day

An endless number of memories from my childhood are
brought to mind just by the mention of the word “Home”
Walking up the lane to enter our house through the screen door,
where Mom welcomed me home from school, is a cherished memory.
I also remember when the Bread man would come to our door and
I got to pick a treat, whether it be Donuts or
frosted covered Chelsea Buns.  I believe that within our homes
is where we feel most secure, most peaceful and most happy.
When I think of home I feel bliss.

Lets pour a cup of tea and walk down memory lane
as we remember our Mom.
My Mother Mary’s favourite flower was the Iris

On this mothers Day
We all reflect on the Mother
we were blessed with.
I am truly thankful for my Mom
and today I especially miss her.
If your Mom is still in your life
Take a moment to express your love,
make her feel blessed.

My sweet Mom and me

Backyard Beauties

Loving our backyard view to our forest full of gorgeous birds
Of all these backyard beauties the Cardinal is my favourite

Yes, even a Turkey
Cardinal Visit

Morning dawned crisp and bright
Aloft from my dreams this night
Along the path all on our own
I wish you every joy I’ve known

On this bright morning loud and clear
His shrill echoed oh so near
Relishing first light, while sipping tea
The bird, the brook, the path, the trees

He sings not but for a spoken few
Yet now appears as if on cue
Snowflakes interlace with tearful eyes
As I look upwards to tree and sky

Whenever you should need me
Look to the cerulean skies
Raise your heart and soul upon the winds
To reveal a gladden red surprise

All things will be clear to you
Fate is in no one’s hands
You must let go
Let love expand

You’ll figure out
what you want to do
Keep doing your thing while staying true
Just keep being you…

Small Graces

Spring has Sprung....
Or so they say
Saw my first Robin yesterday
I am so looking forward to morning breakfast on our back porch
Happy equals Simple pleasures

Be My Valentine

The Promise

  Fondest hearts touch
With love's impatient rush
Memories mirror another place
Where love echoes such sweet embrace
Another time in lusts surrender
Deeply woven souls together
Forever then, forever now
True loves promised eternal vow
